Hints & Tips to raise your scores

  • Choosing the right hints can help you:

  • If you choose "Continent's Map" as only hint, this will give you the list of answers for the relevant continent only.

If the territory is a dependency or division, you can go to the parent territory by clicking on the map or on the small blue arrow (under the map) which will help you find the right answer.

  • If the "Territory's Map" appears

By clicking on it you can visualize the shape of the territory to avoid any confusion as to the territory concerned. You can also visualize the water and reefs when the shape of the territory appears.
These options don't bring the maximum points down.

You can also click on some displayed hints to visualize their contents on the map. Theses hints are Capitals, Cities/islands, Water borders and Land borders.
No point will be substracted from the maximum points.

  • Multiple choice or display the relevant continent

  • If you don't have a clue about the answer, choose a multiple choice before choosing to have the relevant continent displayed.
Indeed, GeoEdu will choose the potential anwers among the continents available.
Example: If the map of Africa (or the name of the continent) is displayed, it will only take answers pertaining to Africa.
On the other hand, if you choose to play with Europe, Central America and Asia and that the continent hint doesn't appear, GeoEdu will choose the answers among the 3 continents.
    Example:
Which country has Stockolm as capital?
Choose for example a multiple choice of 6 answers: Denmark, Sweden, Slovakia, Haiti, Korea (North), Singapore (Islands).
Then click on "Continent" or on the "Map of the territory in the continent" and you will get Asia or the map of Asia.
By analyzing the suggested answers, you can easily disregard several answers since you know there are not in Asia.

  • Find the right flag

  • It often occurs that by selecting the relevant continent (to display the flags in this continent) and by selecting the hint "Colors of the flag" the list is very short. There might just be one single flag dispplayed.

  • Water borders

  • Questions can be easier if you don't tick the option "Gulfs".
This will not bring down the points.
